Your Quick Guide To Questions From Ongoing Clients (Google Ads)

How do I see my ad? I could not see the ad over anywhere can you please share how it looks like? #

Check where your ad appears on Google search results

After you’ve gotten your ad up and running, you’ll probably be eager to see exactly where it’s appearing on Google’s search results page—in other words, your ad position.

  • Use the Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool to see where your ad appears on the page for a particular search request. This is an easy way to check on the position of a single ad, and the tool provides the exact same results as a Google search without accumulating any impressions.

Find out why you may not see your ad #

Looking everywhere for your ad but still can’t find it? If you have a Search ad, you can look for your Search ad with the Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool. It can help you confirm that your Search ad is running without affecting your impressions (which will lower your click-through rate). You can also hover over the speech bubble in the “Status” column of the Ads tab, next to your ad to see more information about its status. If your ad isn’t showing, the tool will tell you why and will offer tips to help get your ads up and running.

If you’re still having trouble, click the button below that best describes your situation. You’ll see a list of possible reasons why you might not see your ad, along with steps to fix the problem.

Make extensions more likely to show #

Sometimes extensions that you want to use don’t show with your ads. This doesn’t mean that something is wrong. (For example, when you use more than one extension for an ad, there are a number of reasons why one of those extensions might show for some searches and not for others.) To make sure your extensions are optimized to show, use this article to find relevant instructions.

Before you begin

Make sure your extension is associated with an active ad group, campaign, or account.

Extensions can be approved or disapproved just like ads and keywords. Disapproved extensions do not show and need to be edited and submitted for re-review. To learn how to check for disapprovals, go to See extension performance.

Even if it’s approved, adding an extension won’t guarantee that it will show with your ad all the time. Extensions show with your ad when:

  • The extension (or combination of extensions) is predicted to improve your performance.
  • Your ad’s position and Ad Rank is high enough for extensions to show.

To learn more, start with When extensions show.
