Facebook Pages: Add & Manage Users

 

 

Purpose: If you don’t have an existing Business/Ad account then you can provide access to the Facebook Page itself by going through page settings and page roles.

Please add Matthew Edwards as an admin or also add editing access to

Usernames:
Matthew Edwards: edwards.matt.m

Classic Pages
You’ll need to be an admin to manage roles for your Page. There’s no limit to the number of people who can have a role on a Page. Learn how to see what your role is and what each Page role can do.

 

In some cases, grey accounts can’t become admins of Pages. If you have a grey account and want to become a Page admin, you can create a new account.

 

 

Give someone a role #

If you’re an admin:

1. From your News Feed, click Pages in the left menu.

 

2. Go to your Page and click Page settings in the bottom left.

 

3. Click Page roles in the left column.

 

4. Type a name or email in the box and select the person from the list that appears.

 

5. Click Editor to select a role from the drop-down menu.

 

6. Click Add and enter your password to confirm.

 

Bear in mind that if you’re not friends with the person you’re adding, they’ll have to accept your invite before they can start helping you manage your Page.

 

 

 

Remove someone who has a role #

If you’re an admin:

1. From your News Feed, click Pages in the left menu.

 

2. Go to your Page and click Page settings in the bottom left.

 

3. Click Page roles in the left column.

 

4. Click Edit next to the person you want to remove, and then click Remove.

 

5. Click Confirm. You may need to enter your password.

 

You can always remove yourself from a Page, but if you’re the Page’s only admin, you’ll need to add another admin first. If you want to remove another admin, they may need to approve your request before they can be removed.

 

 

 

Change someone’s role #

If you’re an admin:

1. From your News Feed, click Pages in the left menu.

 

2. Go to your Page and click Page settings in the bottom left.

 

3. Click Page roles in the left column.

 

4. Click Edit next to the name of the person whose role you want to change and then select a new role from the drop-down menu.

 

5. Click Save. You may need to enter your password to confirm.

 

Note: If you’re a new admin, bear in mind that you may need to wait seven days before you can remove or demote another admin.

 

 

 

 

New Pages experience #

If you have Facebook access with full control of a Page in the new Pages experience, you can manage people’s Facebook access or task access to the Page. You can add, edit or remove someone’s Page access at any time. Learn more about access in the new Pages experience.

 

You can’t give Page access to a grey account. If you’d like to give Page access to someone with a grey account, they should access the Page through their personal Facebook account or create a new account. Then, you can give the new account access to your Page.
Bear in mind that: You need to switch into your Page to manage Page access.

 

Give someone facebook access

You can give someone Facebook access with full control or partial control. People with Facebook access with full control or partial control can switch into the Page and manage it on Facebook. If you give someone Facebook access with full control, this means that this person can give access to other people, remove anyone from the Page (including you) or delete the Page. To give someone Facebook access to a Page in the new Pages experience:

1. From your Page, click Manage, then click Page access.
2. Next to People with Facebook access, click Add New.
3. Click Next, type the name or email address of the person you want to give Facebook access, then click their name.
4. From here, you can choose to give the person Facebook access with full control or partial control;

                  To give Facebook access with partial control: Scroll down, then click Give Access.

                  To give Facebook access with full control: Scroll down, click  to allow this person to have full control, then click Give Access.

5. Type your Facebook password, then click Confirm.

The person will receive an email to accept your invitation to access your Page.

 

 

Give someone task access

 

People with task access can manage the Page from other tools such as Facebook Business Suite, Creator Studio, Ads Manager or Business Manager. This means they can’t switch into the Page or manage it on Facebook. Learn more about task access.

 

1. From your Page, click Manage, then click Page access.
2. Next to People with task access, click Add New.
3. Click Next, type the name or email address of the person you want to give task access to the Page, then click their name.
4. Click  to select the features that you want this person to manage, then click Give Access.
5. Type your Facebook password, then click Confirm.

The person will receive an email to accept your invitation to access your Page.

 

 

Edit someone’s task access

 

1. From your Page, click Manage, then click Page access.
2. Click more next to the person that you want to edit access, then click Edit access.
3. Click  or  to select the features you want this person to manage, then click Update access.
4. Type your Facebook password, then tap Confirm

 

The person will receive an email to accept your invitation to access your Page.

 

Remove someone’s Facebook access or task access

1. From your Page, click Manage, then click Page access.
2. Next to the person you want to remove, click more, then click Remove From Page.

 

The person will receive an email to let them know that their Page access has been removed.
