Alright,
So today I kind of wanted to touch quickly on, and I’m probably going to look at making this a little bit of a, kind of serious I guess.
We are attached on different software that you can utilize for your business, and how you can integrate that with your website, your emails. To kind of make things a little easier and run a little smoother.
So today, that system is gonna be “Calendly”.
Calendly is something that I use personally. There is a free version which is what I’m using. But if you need the paid version, it’s not that expensive and at some point I’ll be updating to that as well.
But, the free version, just put briefly, It allows you to book up time slots for people to schedule calls, schedule Zoom meetings, or basically schedule in-person meetings if you want to.
It does have integrations with Zoom built in so if they book in a meeting, it will create a Zoom link with the location or everything that you set up. And put that into your calendar and their calendar.
I’m using Gmail or Google workplaces so everything that I do connects to that. And it comes up in my calendar as soon someone books a meeting, sends me a notification.
And that way I know that “Oh look, I’ve got a meeting tomorrow at x time, It’s gonna be with this person that’s doing us some research”.
Now, the other thing with it. is you are able to schedule how long those meeting are for, how long between each meeting you can have.
And kind of what it is that you want to get out of it. So you can say “Hey, you need to fill out these details or you need to just give us your name”.
It’s really up to you how detailed do you want to be.
And I’m just gonna share my screen quickly, so you’ll have a bit more of an idea.
But,
This here, this is Calendly.
So, when you go to the website calendly.com, this is what you’ll see. It allows you to easily schedule straightforward.
And it is probably worth more than that. This here, this is my Calendly.
So if you were to go to the Mars Digital website or have a look on the email that I’ve sent you, in the email photo there’s a link that says schedule a call.
Click that, it goes to the Mars Digital website and you get to choose an option whether you talk to me, Marko, or Maria.
And when you click on my name, you’ll get taken to this page which is in Calendly.
And because it integrates with my account, my Google calendar, and you can see here its 30-minute with conference call blah blah blah, 50 and more so minute.
It books it out 30 minutes but I said its 50-minute so it depends on the person.
And you can go through and say “Ok yup, you know what I am available tomorrow”.
Okay, well it looks like Matt’s certainly available at 4 or 4:30.
And that’s because in my calendar, I do have meetings booked tomorrow.
And that gets updated straight away.
So now, all the time that I have available will show up. And the times where I have other meetings or put out anything else in, won’t be available.
Or if I go to Wednesday, you’ll see it’s a bit more split so I’ve got a meeting in the morning and meeting in another day.
So that is what you see for that case. In my case, I’ve also suggested that it has an hour
gap so if I’m doing in-person meetings for example, it could take me an hour to get back home or could take me an hour to get to the location, or anywhere where I can make a meeting.
So, I tell ‘em to give me an hour. And then If I keep going through let’s just say somewhere in a bar.
So let’s go Thursday, so Thursday 26th is recently free. It shouldn’t be booked up at all.
So if I go through that yup I’ve got 9’oclock all the way through so it seems that on Thursday 26th, I will have actually ….
So you can see here it just pulls directly from my Google Calendar. And then from that I’m able to just keep managing things like I would normally. Don’t even worry how this works.
I’ve set it up some time ago and I only will log in to this, something like this to demonstrate how it works and to show you what it looks like.
So, if you are looking for some sort of system to help manage how you interact with clients, its actually really beneficial for B2B businesses something like myself having meetings with other businesses or for coaches, etc., then this would be an ideal solution at least to get started before you get a full Calendly booking system or which Calendly can do if you upgrade to the paid version.
But it’s worth checking out and I will continue doing little bits like this.
